Professional Move-In & Move-Out Cleaning Service
Atom Cleaning Co provides deep move-in and move-out cleaning across NJ, NY, and CT for tenants, landlords, real estate agents, property managers, and home buyers. Service covers everything a standard cleaning skips: inside ovens and refrigerators, inside cabinets and drawers, baseboards, window sills, light fixtures, doors and door frames, switch plates, detailed bathroom scrubbing, and floor edges. Scheduled around your move-out inspection or move-in date — typically completed in 4–8 hours depending on property size.
Why Move-In/Out Cleaning Is Different
- Empty property = all hidden areas visible — landlords inspect
inside ovens, fridges, cabinets, and behind appliances that
weren’t tested during regular cleaning - Security deposits in NJ average $1,500–4,500 — losing it to
“insufficient cleaning” deductions costs more than hiring
professionals - Realtors and landlords need move-in-ready properties to list
or rent fast — buyer/tenant impressions form in the first
90 seconds of walkthrough - Standard recurring cleaning skips deep-clean tasks (inside
appliances, baseboards, cabinet interiors) — these are the
exact spots inspectors check

Move-In & Move-Out Cleaning FAQ
What’s the difference between move-out cleaning and regular house cleaning?
Move-out cleaning is significantly more detailed. Regular cleaning covers visible surfaces; move-out cleaning includes inside ovens, refrigerators, microwaves, cabinets, drawers, dishwasher, baseboards, window sills, light fixtures, door frames, switch plates, and bathroom grout. It’s designed for empty properties where every hidden area becomes visible to inspectors.
Will move-out cleaning help me get my security deposit back?
In most cases, yes. Landlords commonly deduct “insufficient cleaning” charges of $200–800 from deposits. Professional move-out cleaning typically costs less than that deduction and gives you photo documentation if there’s a dispute. We follow standard tenant move-out checklists used by most NJ property managers and document the result.
How long does a move-out cleaning take, and how is it priced?
Most apartments take 4–6 hours; houses 6–10 hours. Pricing is flat-rate based on square footage and condition. Studio apartments typically start around $250; 1–2 bedroom apartments $300–500; larger homes $500–900. We quote upfront after walk-through, no hourly billing surprises.
Do you handle stains, scuff marks, or damage from the previous tenant?
We remove surface stains, scuff marks, dust, dirt, and grime. We don’t repair drywall damage, repaint walls, fix scratched flooring, or remove permanent damage (deep carpet stains, cigarette burns, water damage). For those, you’ll need separate restoration services — we can recommend providers in NJ.
Can you schedule cleaning the same day as my move-out or move-in?
Yes — same-week and often next-day scheduling is available. For move-out, we recommend booking after movers leave so the unit is empty. For move-in, we schedule the day before move-in or while movers handle furniture. Coordinate the timing with us when booking — we’ll match your schedule.
